![On April 4, 2024, Chicago History students visited the Shedd Aquarium. Opening in 1930, the Shedd is one of the oldest public aquariums in the United States. Students learned that the aquarium is an integral part of Chicagos cultural and architectural history. Chicago History students discovered that the aquarium houses a diverse collection of marine life, showcasing species from around the world. Ultimately, students realized that the Shedd Aquarium serves as both a historical landmark in Chicago and a dynamic educational institution, providing valuable insights into marine life, conservation, and the interconnectedness of ecosystems. If you are interested in learning more about Chicago, BHS students should consider taking the Chicago History course offered here at Bremen during their junior/senior year.
