May 18, 2022
Bremen High School participated in the South Suburban Conference Science competition on March 2, 2022. It was hosted at Bremen High School this year, but the location generally changes every year so different high schools get to host. “This year, it was Bremen’s turn,”’ explained Ms. Galloy, sponsor for the Science Club and Science instructor at BHS.
A lot of schools competed and participated in the 2022 Science Fair. Some of the schools that participated were Bremen, Evergreen Park, Hillcrest, Lemont, Oak Forest, Oak Lawn, Reavis, Shepard, TF North, TF South, and Tinley Park.
There were a variety of competitions and activities that took place at Bremen’s Science Fair. There was something called a Science Bowl. There was a station called All About Circuits. In addition, there was even an activity named Build Your Own Raft. Some other things that could be viewed at the science fair were Bridge Building, Egg Drop, Write It, Do It.
There was something for everyone. The participants were from classes such as Anatomy and Physiology, A.P. Environmental Classes. Some of the best stations were the Straw Tower, Cat 6 Cable Building, Forensics, Mousetrap Vehicles, Paper Airplane, and Qualitative Analysis.
