The 2023 Senior vs. The Staff Basketball game was held on March 24th at BHS. The game was held in the main gym and it was packed!

This intriguing game is always greatly awaited for. For the past decades, the game has rotated from dodgeball, volleyball and most recently soccer as well.

Anyone from the senior class could sign-up by the deadline date and participate in the game.  In addition, any staff member could sign up as well.  Moreover, the varsity basketball team made their presence as they were automatically on the student team.

During half time, The Bremen Fuego and the BHS Step Team performed and made the atmosphere get fired up! Along with performances, Mr. Rappold was awarded a bobble-head of himself to commemorate his retirement from coaching this final season.

The match was mostly dominated by the staff and teachers until the seniors made a fourth quarter comeback to tie the game. The final score was an 18-18 tie. The student vs staff record is currently 0-30-1 (Wins, loses, ties).

These greatly awaited face-offs always came with a great cause. Students purchased a one-dollar ticket in order to get into the game and watch the super athletic teachers take on the students. The money raised goes for a great cause every year. For example, last year’s proceeds were entirely donated to Cameron Wheatley’s family. This year, the proceeds would go towards a brand new octagonal picnic table that is to be placed in the courtyard in the future. Overall, this event is one of the best Bremen has to offer and is always enjoyed by the students.
