This basketball season was full of hard work; there were countless challenges along with unforgettable moments. The 2025-26 Boys Basketball team ended the regular season 14-17 going into playoffs being seeded #10 in their regional. Although this record could have been better it is nothing to scoff at.
The team was senior-heavy and had a strong group of players including 6 seniors and 6 juniors who helped lead the season tremendously. The seniors brought leadership and experience that guided the team through tough moments and the juniors stepped up to keep the energy high throughout the year.
One of the best parts of the season was spending time together on the bus rides to away games where the team laughed, talked and built strong team chemistry. The longest bus ride, and one of the most memorable, was the Christmas tournament at Plano High School. This ride brought the team even closer together than ever before.
The BHS hoopers played many competitive games during the season, but the best game could be considered to be the game that took place on Senior Night against Chicago Christian. The energy was at an all-time high and the emotions from the crowd honoring the seniors made it unforgettable.
Throughout the season, the athletes continued to improve as the support of one another also grew regularly. Actually Joshua Johnson stated “Even though our record was 14–17, we kept improving every game and never stopped competing as a team.” Johnson thinks the season went well and could’ve been better, but he is proud that the team grew as young men and basketball players.
In addition, Carter Luster said “The trip to the Christmas tournament at Plano High School was my favorite part of the season because we bonded a lot and made memories outside of basketball!” It was Luster’s first year on the Bremen Basketball Team and his first year and season at Bremen. Luster knows that the team improved a lot and that the good moments overlooked the bad moments.
Even during difficult games, the Braves stayed motivated and learned important lessons about both basketball and life. The greatest lessons learned were those that encompassed teamwork and perseverance.
Overall, this basketball season was a meaningful experience filled with great times, great games, long rides and memories that the 2025-26 Boys Basketball athletes will always remember.
